Tmedia VoIP Gateways Now Include One-Click Fraud Removal

December 01, 2017

Innovation is initiating a new era of communications, a digital era driving much in the way of transformation. Unfortunately, as VoIP feature-sets, enhancements and adoption grows the threat of fraud still looms larger than ever.

This week, TelcoBridges (News - Alert) unveiled One-Click Fraud Call Removal as part of TelcoBridges’ suite of network management diagnostic tools, TB Analytics, for the complete family of Tmedia VoIP Gateways and the FreeSBC. Service providers are now able to alleviate revenue loss and fraudulent calls while increasing network availability.

By extending the TB Analytics “Call Trace” feature, One-Click Fraud Removal allows service providers to search active calls based on duration, number or route to determine an instance of fraud, and end the call with a simple click of the mouse.

Integrating the API provided with OSS/BSS systems, services providers are able to automate the removal of unwanted calls coming as a result of call forwarding, PBX (News - Alert) hacking, traffic pumping and other methods. Automated or manual, this type of protection should be front of mind.

“Service providers around the globe lose billions of dollars each year in telecom-related fraud costs, so finding a better way of detecting and preventing fraud is a top priority,” said Gaetan Campeau (News - Alert), CEO of TelcoBridges. “Our One-Click Fraud Call Removal provides an out-of-the-box, real-time solution to eliminate this pain point while also helping to enhance a telecom service provider’s bottom line.”

VoIP fraud prevention and protection is certainly a game of cat and mouse, with news everyday highlighting the growing presence of this threat. Service providers must put security in the fore protect customers and that precious bottom line.
