Matrix Brings VoIP to Healthcare Equipment Manufacturer

July 10, 2017

Matrix is a provider of telecom and security solutions and is well known for its reliability. With in-house DSIR recognized R&D, the company designs solutions for improving communications in the Manufacturing, Retail, Hotels, Hospitals and Banking sectors. The company’s wide product portfolio includes Unified Communication Servers, High Density Media Gateways, GSM and VoIP Gateways, User Terminals and Converged PBX (News - Alert).

Thanks to this broad offering, Matrix is often chosen by a wide variety of companies to update their existing solutions. That was the case recently when Matrix announced that it was picked to upgrade the communications infrastructure at a leading healthcare equipment manufacturer’s facility. The manufacturing unit was established in 1935 with an aim of offering cost-effective solutions to every patient. The partner driven organization worked with a network of 3,000 stockists that then reached out to 7,00,000 chemists and more than 10,00,000 colleagues.

Obviously, efficient communication is at the heart of this operation’s success. As the announcement points out, “There was heavy amount of to and fro communication between the employees and the distributors for discussing order dispatch details, order noting and other requirements. The congested network led to connectivity issues and high call drop ratio. The company owners knew that break in internal communication can lead to different issues such as misunderstanding customer’s order, quality issues, wrong order noting and many more. Therefore, they were looking for a communication solution that offers robust connectivity and streamlines internal and external communication.”

The communication solution the company leaders ultimately landed on was Matrix’s. Matrix telecom solutions proved to be the best fit for the job once the facility researched other options in the market. Matrix’s telecom solutions have proven to be reliable and robust in the past, which is exactly what the manufacturing facility was looking for.

The solution being offered resulted in connectivity between analog extensions, 12 PRI cards to avoid the high call drop ratio, and VoIP connectivity to remove the hassle of installing wires. Since this solution was put in place, there has been improved connectivity between staff members, enhanced communication convenience and a boost in team efficiency.

This is just one case of many where VoIP has proven to be a major problem solver. The facility in question is a leader in the market and therefore has a lot of communications needs. If it wished to keep its old systems in place, a VoIP gateway from Matrix or another company like beroNet would have been a great option. However, the needed overhaul resulted in the company choosing other VoIP solutions and so far they’ve served the organization well.
